Do’s and Do not’s for All Actors as Per Doug Mears

While acting can appear to be something that is rather easy, it really is not as much in real since it can be immensely demanding most of the times. Therefore, there is a huge list of rules that actors must follow for the purpose of gaining success in the long run. Most actors who do not follow these rules are most likely to get into trouble or even go unnoticed by the audience. Acting can be a difficult career to begin with but once a person gets into it, it becomes surprisingly easy and continues to be that way in the future.
Avoid Being Late
One of the most important things for actors to know is that they must never be late on set or for auditions. This is due to the fact that the producers, directors and all the others do not like it and it also leaves a rather bad first impression. Moreover, there are so many other actors waiting to be selected for a role, which is why getting late could get an actor in trouble. Once selected, actors must continue to stick to this habit in order to keep their work in line by not annoying the crew.
Delivery Lines Perfectly
Actors must always remember their lines. In the list of do’s, this is one of the most important ones as delivery the lines in the correct order written by the writer is something which really should not be messed up. Therefore, actors are highly recommended to practice their lines as much as they can in order to deliver them perfectly and rather effortlessly over the screen. In the case of forgetting any lines in the script, the outcome can be dreadful and can cause an actor to have a huge spot on his/her career in the long run.

Another important thing for actors to know, which is included in the do not’s list, is that they ever try and stay away from making excuses as nobody really has time for that. Moreover, actors must try and keep a friendly and outgoing attitude with everyone on set and whoever they meet since that is what’s going to earn them respect and good roles.
